First Christmas

Charise's first Christmas was not quite what we hoped for, but you take what life hands you and you make the most of it. With the loss of Pop Pop, Grammie moved in with us and we had a quiet Christmas morning at home. Charise "opened" lots of presents (probably too many) and we played with all of them. She got a Laugh and Learn Learning Home, some clothes, and lots of books (mommy joined a children's book club). Grammie and Pop Pop bought her an air ball toy, a ring stacker, and some pajamas. Grandpa John came over and we had a Christmas lunch together. He brought Charise a push toy for her to walk behind and then became so enamored of her air ball toy, that he didn't play with anything else for a while. After lunch, Jeff, Tiffawnie and the kids came by to exchange some gifts. They brought charise a fun mailbox. The kids had fun playing together. Charise loves her new cousins! They are so good with her too. Peyten and Roycee always want to be the "mommy" and they love cleaning and arranging her room. I don't mind that at all! :)
All in all, we made the best we could out of a hard day. Charise enjoyed herself and we look forward to many more Christmas times together.
