Charise was a little duckling for her first Halloween. We thought it was appropriate because she has a lot of ducks and we sing about ducks all the time. :) Plus, it was a cute costume! The top was a little "chickenish" but she was a duck. On Friday we went downtown with Stacy and Jackson to walk around the shops. We wanted to do the costume contest but it was crazy busy, so we just watched. I was a little air-headed and locked our only set of keys in the explorer. Thankfully the locksmith was also downtown with his kids and was able to come rescue us before dinner time. We just hung out at Jerry's office for a little while. Charise also visited her uncle, soon-to-be aunt and grandparents at Decor to show off her costume. She was so cozy inside that she just curled up on Jeff and nearly fell asleep. It was so sweet!
On Saturday we visited the pumpkin patch with Stacy and Jackson and, as you can see, take LOTS of pictures. I have over 100, but I only chose a few to share here. :) Okay, more than a few. It's hard to narrow down the cutest ones. For Halloween night Charise visited Papa Deryl & Bobbie and a couple other neighbors to show off her costume. Then we came home and prepared to pass out candy. I think we had over 200 kids come to our door. It was a fun night! Charise was a trooper. Stayed up until 9:00 visiting with the Van Soests and then Jeff and family. I think she'll appreciate Halloween more next year but we had a lot of fun anyways!
Ready to walk downtown....and about this time mommy realizes her keys are still inside
